Father Thomas Sullivan

Father Tom grew up in Montana and taught religion at Seattle Prep.  He started coaching cross country because no one else would take the job.  He coached at Prep from 1969 to 1980 and had up to 80 boys running on his teams.  His boys won Wesco Titles in 1972, 1973, & 1974 and the Metro Title in 1977.  Father Tom coached his 1972 boys to a State AA Team Championship with his own runner, Jeff Parietti winning the individual title.

 

Wayne Worby

Wayne grew up in Yakima and graduated from WestValley in 1964, where he participated in football, basketball, and track.  He graduated from CWU in 1968 majoring in PE and technology.  He coached cross country at Selah for 28 years.  His teams won 8 League Titles, 3 State Championships in 1977, 1978, & 1979, and also 3 second place finishes.  Wayne coached two individual state champs, Chip Pierce(1976-1977) and Shawn Bernier in 1980.

Chuck Millard

Chuck coached 22 years at West Valley-Yakima and 3 years at Yakima Valley College.  He was the first mid-Valley coach to have a girls cross country team.  He qualified 2 teams to state, placing 4 and 5th.
