GENERAL INFORMATION

Please be aware that long ferry lines are possible on Saturday mornings.  Ferry reservations are suggested. 

Entry Information

Each School is guaranteed one entry in each event.  Additional entries will be awarded by time and distance to bring fields to 24 in each lane event.  The 1600m and 3200m fields will be 30.  We are anticipating 12-14 schools.  All marks submitted must be verified.

Meet entries will be accepted online only at www.athletic.net . Follow the instructions for setting up an account and enter your athletes or make changes before 8:00 pm, Monday, April 14th.  Meet entries will be posted on Wednesday Evening.  Please submit scratches as soon as possible.  Day of meet scratches will be limited to 9:00 – 10:00 am.  

Please do not run athletes in events who are not signed up.

Please read ALL of these instructions before filling out the entry form.

*  Fill out Team Entry Form before submitting athlete entries. Be sure to include: Team Name, School Address, Coach’s Name, Coach’s phone.  

* Remember to only use verified 2008 performances.

Entry Fee:  $85.00 per school

Entry fee checks should be payable to: South Whidbey High School and received before April 19, 2008.  NOTE: You will not be allowed to compete without paying your entry fee. You may bring a school purchase order to pay for entry fee

Meet Procedures

Please report to start line 10 minutes before the scheduled start of the event.  The 800m will be run in 2 heats of 12 runners using the 1 turn stagger.  The 1600m and 3200m will be run using a two-section start with both groups merging at the end of the first turn. Section A will use the first four lanes and Section B will have a one turn stagger and using the outer four lanes. Each group must stay in their lanes until after the first turn 

All Field Events will be in flights of 4 to 6 with participants completing all 4 trials within their flights.  There will be no prelims or finals.  The top qualifiers will be placed in the later flights.

Scoring: Top 8 will score 10 - 8 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2- 1

Complete Results will be available shortly after the conclusion of the meet and will be posted at http://www.watfxc.com, the Seattle Times, the Everett Herald and the South Whidbey Record.

All times will be FAT using the Pyro bright flash system, hand held times will serves back ups. 

Event Placers will be announced and must report to award area to receive medals and ribbons.  Medals 1st place and ribbons to 2th – 8th.  Relays medals 1st place, ribbons to 4th.

Individual and Relay Awards will follow soon after each event.

Trophies to 1st Place, 4th Place.  Sarah Wirth Memorial Traveling Trophy to the winner of the girls 1600M, Gary Peters Memorial Traveling Trophy (boys pole vault), Bill Borton Memorial (Boys 4 x 400 Relay), John Richardson Memorial (Boys 100M Dash).
